E’s Wedding

When my friends heard I was going to photograph my own daughter’s wedding, they were aghast. “Don’t you want to just sit back and relax so you can remember it?” they asked. They don’t understand that the photographs I take myself are my memories of this happy day. Sure, someone else could have done the work, but then I would forever have their perspective, their idea of what was important, their memories. This day was too important to not remember it through my own lens.
